Salvation
We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came and lived on this earth. He was tempted in every way, just as we are, but he did not sin. Even so, he willingly took the punishment for our sin, suffering and dying in our place. On the third day after being crucified, God raised him from the dead, and Jesus is now in heaven where he serves as mediator between God and all believers.
Through the Holy Spirit and relying only on God’s grace, people are able to acknowledge and turn from their sin, believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and follow him as Lord.
Rededication
Rededicating your life to Christ” is a decision made by a Christian who has fallen away from the practices of Christianity to turn back to Christ and strive to follow Him more completely.
The act of suddenly returning to Christ is spoken of indirectly in Galatians 6:1, where the church is exhorted to restore sinful believers by gently confronting them.
Rededication is popular among older children and young adults who grew up in the church. Christians who were saved at a young age may come to realize that their understanding of what it means to follow Jesus was incomplete.
Membership
We believe that the concept of “church member” is biblical. Although the term “church member” is never used in the Bible, the basic idea is certainly there., Believers clearly identified themselves with a particular local body of believers called “the church’ and were encouraged to become committed participants.
Everyone who accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and come to God through faith in him is a member of “the Church” of Jesus Christ. Membership on this level is eternal and unchanging based entirely on Christ’s merit and grace. It is a gift to be received.
The Bible also speaks of membership in terms of participation in a local body of believers – “a church” (Romans 16:3-5; I Corinthians 16:19-20, Philemon 1:1).
